WebOpen The Book Assembly. Every Wednesday, we have a virtual assembly with Reverend Sally, Ruth and Sally where a Bible story is shared with the school. These stories link to our theme of the week and our school Christian values. At the end of the story, the children have an opportunity to reflect on how this story can help them in their lives. WebOpen the Book presentations started in Bedford in 1999 when the Lion Children’s Storyteller Bible by Bob Hartman was adapted for use in schools. From presentations in ten schools at the beginning, this has now grown to 2,900 schools in the United Kingdom with 16,000 storytellers. The work has also spread to Ghana.
